Our speakers are:
Laura Hole – Laura is an illustrator who self publishes her own comics. Her comic Pumpkin Spice won the 2017 Earl Richards Narrative Award and has been translated into Spanish to be sold in Spain. Laura will be talking about balancing creating independent comics with being a working mother. Laura’s website is laurahole.com, her Instagram is @lauraholeillustration.
Louise Rabey – Louise is an illustrator specialising in narrative illustration. She is studying her MA in Illustration and has focussed her studies on developing her skills in comics. Louise will be talking about researching and creating comics from an academic perspective. Louise’s website is louise-rabey-art.com, and her Instagram is @louiserabeyart.
Ross Bampfylde – Ross is a comic creator who successfully raised the funds to create and publish his first issue of his comic Chateau Obsidian using Kickstarter. Ross will be speaking about why and how he crowdfunded his comic. There will be limited 3-5 minute slots for people to talk about their own projects on the night, just sign up when you get there!
The Clipper is a vegan cafe and non-alcoholic drinks will be available.
