Theme: ‘Laydeez Do ZINES Dundee’
An evening all about the most DIY, most approachable type of comic!
Will feature a talk about zines by Dr. Damon Herd and a zine-making workshop led by Dundee’s own zine queen, Olivia Hicks!
All adults (18+) are welcome regardless of gender, sexuality, comics knowledge/experience, etc. Free event.

Theme: ‘Laydeez Do Com-MANDO!‘
A look at the women behind DC Thomson’s long-running comic series Commando For Action and Adventure (1961-present).
6-8 PM @ the Dundee Comics Creative Space (Unit 10, The Vision Building, 20 Greenmarket, Dundee, DD1 4QB)
Featuring:
A talk by Calum Laird, former Commando editor and Ph.D cannidate, speaking on the little known history of the women writers, artists, and editors who made Commando.
A panel discussion featuring Georgia Battle and Hailey Austin, current writers for Commando (and the first women writers for the comic in over 30 years), and Kate Dewar, an artist for Commando. Olivia Hicks moderating.
